What does this test include?
An urgent panel containing a complete blood count (CBC), white-cell differential and C-reactive protein (CRP). The published service states that it is performed only at the main laboratory in Zdraveto Hospital, with a result in up to 10 minutes. MxA is not included in this package.
Why might it be ordered?
- For rapid assessment when a clinician needs blood-cell counts and an inflammation marker without the usual wait.
- To support, but not replace, clinical assessment of acute symptoms.
What sample is needed?
The panel may require one or more samples. The laboratory will confirm the material needed for every included test.
How should you prepare?
Fasting is usually unnecessary for CBC and CRP, but confirm local instructions. If you are seriously unwell, seek medical care rather than relying on the test alone.
How are the results reported?
CRP can rise with many inflammatory conditions and does not identify a specific cause. Blood-count changes also have many explanations and must be interpreted with symptoms and examination.
